Currently, we are seeking a Director for KC Professional Global Workplace for our Roswell, Georgia location.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provide innovation leadership for the K-C PROFESSIONAL (KCP) global workplace business. Provide leadership to ensure development of new and improved processes, products, and technologies as required to meet KCP’s global workplace business objectives.
ORGANIZATION:
Reports to Vice President, KCP Global Innovation. Liaises with other Research &Engineering (R&E) organizations, including Global Non-Wovens (GNW) and Corporate Research &Engineering (CR&E). Operates in a matrix organization with KCP Global Workplace Strategic Business Unit leaders, KCP Global Strategy and Marketing organizations and Global Regulatory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Deliver an ongoing robust portfolio of global workplace products from Basis for Exploration through launch with emphasis on identification of market changing opportunities by leading the development, implementation and management of resources, tools and capabilities and through linkages with internal and external technology provider and other sectors.
- Ensure portfolio balance among workplace businesses
- Provide technology development direction and liaise with GNW and CR&E
- Provide work direction for both R&E and Marketing team members
- Participate in development of innovation strategy for long term business planning.
2. Develop, implement and upgrade appropriate processes to globally prioritize a sustaining, balanced portfolio of product enhancing and market changing solutions.
3. Maintain and improve upon existing products and processes through Life Cycle Maximization for safety business to deliver growth and continuous margin transformation.
4. Lead R&E due diligence and integration for M&A activities supporting workplace growth.
5. Provide direct leadership for KCP intellectual property initiatives and processes which maximize the strength of KCP’s patent portfolio in support of business needs.
6. Provide direct leadership for KCP technical support function and overall direction for the global technical support team.
7. Ensure solution designs, work processes, and documentation comply with all safety, legal, regulatory and quality requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical, Textile Engineering, Chemistry, or Pulp and Paper Science/Engineering. A Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical or otherwise relevant discipline will be considered with the appropriate experience.
Requires a minimum of 10 years of industry experience with progressively hands-on managerial experience in a research/engineering, business or mill/operational environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA or MS degree is preferred
Experience in a matrix organization
Prior experience with global responsibilities is desired.
Experience in project leadership and team management across full IMF process
Multi-sector and multi-functional background preferred
