Description:
A Pharmaceutical Company is Miami is looking to hire a Senior Generalist with a minimum of 5 years experience.
Initial Minimum Qualifications:
* Able to read, write and speak English proficiently.
* Working knowledge of retail environment or its equivalent.
* Strong PC skills including working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
* U. S. citizenship or valid work visa and passport.
* Successful completion of pre-employment/promotion drug test.
* Minimum of one-year retail management supervisory experience.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to communicate with multiple levels of associates and management.
* Support of stores in multiple locations.
Employee Relations:
Primary point of contact, acting as counsel to managers and associates on employee relations matters. Maintains a reputation for being informed and professional.
Tracks employee leaves of absence in designated store locations. Consults with employees and managers regarding leave policies.
Staffing and Recruiting:
Develops and maintains a strong network of HR and general business colleagues in the areas where we have staff in order to brainstorm and better understand the marketplace.
Sources, screens and manages the use of outside recruiters for senior-level hires.
Works in collaboration with hiring managers to set recruiting objectives and priorities.
Develops and maintains external recruiting contacts to optimize flow of applications with attention to Affirmative Action commitments.
Processes all documentation related to the recruitment process including: flow log, applicant paperwork, interview and reference notes, new hire paperwork, and maintains databases.
Based on interview and reference checks, offers positions to appropriate applicants for open positions.
Works with primary vendor supplier, supervisors and managers on requisitions and maintains open communication regarding quality of new hires.
Training:
Collaboration with other HR team members, assesses the need for training programs relating to recruiting, employee coaching, annual reviews and diversity/respectful workplace.
Tracks training effectiveness and modifies programs to maximize their benefit to the organization.
Desired Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
* PHR or SPHR preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws pertaining to associate workplace and human resources issues.
