Description:
Our client located in Princeton, NJ is currently seeking Senior Imaging Engineer for an immediate contract to full time position. Details include:
Overview:
Leads the development and integration of clients medical imaging systems and applications.
The Senior Imaging Engineer works with the IS Director and IS Project Managers in order to analyze current processes to deliver internally developed systems and the introduction and integration of commercial products to improve clients imaging reliability, efficiency and scalability.
The Senior Imaging Engineer also provides mentoring, leadership and training to other Imaging Engineers within IS.
Responsibilities
-Develops imaging applications or sub-components to support Radiology and other medical imaging application for use in clinical trials
-Designs and develops systems for automated and GUI based imaging use
-Develops tools to test sub-systems using automated tools (Squish, QTP, etc.)
-Researches and gathers requirements, builds designs, codes, documents and maintains software according to clients standard software lifecycle methodology and SOPs
-Provide programming and algorithm development and produce technical design documentation suitable for use in developing verification and validation test plans, protocols, and requirement traces.
-Delivers applications that produce, edit and analyze DICOM header and image data
-Evaluates imaging technologies vendors and systems for use within client
-Drives the integration of new tools and systems within clients imaging workflow
-Assists in the out-sourcing and support of externally developed and off-the-shelf applications
-Provides support and advice to the Clinical Operations and Information Technology Departments with respect to digital imaging applications
-Performs third level software support as needed
Qualifications:
-MS/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Bioengineering or Life Sciences and at least 3 years of relevant experience using various imaging platforms
-Minimum of 6 years recent contiguous experience with C/C++/C#/.NET or Java in Windows or Unix environments
-Demonstrated significant volume of imaging code used in tumor tracking or oncology related clinical trial work
-Strong programming and analytical skills
-Experience with medical imaging devices and software (especially CT, MRI and PET) using DICOM
-Demonstrated knowledge in developing imaging analysis and viewing applications
-Experience with automated test tools such as Squish or QTP are highly desirable
-Must be able to work proficiently in a small team environment, and have a strong sense of team and project commitment
-Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary environment
-Experience in following established software design control procedures
-Experience developing code for medical devices, or similar regulated industry is highly desired
-Experience in a regulated environment, preferably pharmaceutical or medical devices
-Experience with 21CFR Part 11 validation and HIPAA
