Unison Systems Inc. is a full-service IT consulting firm that specializes in both IT contingency based staffing and end-to-end IT Business and Software solutions. As an independent, locally owned consulting firm that has been in business since 1997, we have 3 main areas of expertise: Software Life Cycle Support, Data Warehouse Support, and Infrastructure Support.
Unison Systems has an immediate need for a Lead IT Project Manager with Oracle Customer Hub implementation experience. The Lead IT Project Manager has responsibilities for managing strategic and tactical projects and/or programs on a day-to-day basis. This includes creation of project plans, business cases, designs strategies, specific designs, resource management, budget management, cross organizational coordination, vendor management, executive communications/reporting, and critical issue resolution and escalations.
The Lead IT Project Manager is also responsible for the following:
- Ensure project meets the expected budgetary and scheduling guidelines
- Ensure business case accurately reflects IT costs and is updated as changes occur
- Usher the business case through the central governance approval process and adhere to all standard procedures
- Diligently monitor project progress using work plan, project plan tools
- Provide strict change management practices to meet project timelines and client expectations
- Work closely with development and test teams to effectively understand project details and manage project tasks
- Apply mitigation strategies to project plan to ensure overall project success
- Effectively communicate project status and issues to management and present options for issue resolution
- Recommend process improvements
- Analyze process risks and inefficiencies
- Ensure client/stakeholder partnership to ensure overall satisfaction with the project
- Coordinate with all appropriate groups and personnel to ensure excellent delivery of programs
- Provide all necessary data for tracking, planning and program evaluation to ensure data accuracy in program management tools
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or equivalent experience
- 5 years Project Management work experience
- Knowledge of business and technology work processes and the ability to use this knowledge when consulting across organizations
- Ability to manage projects with little supervision and provide status and issues to executives and upper management
- Proven ability to influence others and to build trusting relationships with clients and peers
- Outstanding and proven program/project management skills
- Outstanding ability to develop a strategic and tactical plan from a concept
- Outstanding ability to develop an integrated, cross organizational project plan
- Show initiative and creativity in gathering and analyzing data
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities, set direction and solve problems in a fast paced environment
- Strong communications and presentation skills, including ability to summarize and concisely share key project information to all levels of the organization
- Strong ability to provide leadership/mentoring to other team members
- Strong ability to managing numbers in a business case and program budget
- Must have proven ability to drive and coordinate the tasks of a large, matrixed project team, geographically dispersed, including offshore development centers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of telecom industry and PMI Certification is a plus
Location: Downtown Denver, CO
Contract: 6 month contract to hire with the possibility of contract extension
Hourly Pay: $50/hr with a conversion salary of $90k
