Job Summary:
In order to ensure CNA Claim is in compliance with reporting requirements, the individual in this position will analyze claim and other data related to operational tasks and projects; provide support for business unit activities, including administration services, with effective delivery of service to all levels of internal and external customers. This will include coordination of the following efforts and others as may be required:
1. Reviews, documents, analyzes and corrects errors or missing claim data related to regulatory reporting.
2. Assists in ensuring CNA Claims are in compliance with reporting requirements utilizing various systems and tracking mechanisms.
3. Coordinates with Outsource Services on TPA data to ensure reporting is completed timely and accurately.
4. Identifies issues that impact service provision and may make recommendations to management.
5. Works with other departments or may provide technical assistance to others within the department.
Some examples of regulatory reporting include Medicare/Medicaid, Texas Closed claims, NJ Appeals Process, Data calls on an adhoc basis, etc.
Assures consistent and accurate submission of regulatory filings with state departments of insurance, and supports all staff in regulatory filings activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assembles state filing forms, rates, exhibits, statistical and supporting materials in the review and approval of policies.
2. Monitors the state filing process to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance.
3. Updates and maintains state filing tracking system.
4. Receives and distributes bulletins and notices regarding state filing.
5. Performs bookkeeping of miscellaneous and regulatory state filing expenses.
6. Coordinates projects as assigned.
7. Participates in interdepartmental meetings.
Requirements:
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:
1. General knowledge of the insurance industry, the business unit and products.
2. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
5. Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software systems. Must be proficient with Excel.
Education and Experience Required:
1. Associates degree or equivalent.
2. Two or more years of relevant claims experience required.
