Description:
6+ month contract position in Plano. Please respond immediately this position will be filled quickly. Provides clinical services to Veterans across the entire continuum of care. Laboratory Services, a key clinical operational component of this continuum, is in the process of executing an application modernization program. This modernization will be executed, in part, through the implementation of a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product from Cerner Corporation. This COTS product must operate with the current Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) MUMPS/Health Level 7 (HL7) environment. This modernization effort will result in increased value to Veterans through enhanced clinical capability and operational efficiencies Needed skills include: 1) 3-5 years experience in M language programming 2) BS in Computer Science (or related field) or additional 5 years of experience in software development 3) 3+ years healthcare-related experience. 4) There is a strong preference for an individual with VistA application experience.
