Summary: Seeking a Search Engine Optimization Specialist to help with existing site-side SEO projects and to help build organic link popularity.
This is an Apprentice position that could lead to taking over all SEO for the site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Write copy for various landing pages
Build links to the site from directories, blog posts, forum posts, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc.
Generate and analyze competitor information
Troubleshoot Search Engine rank issues
Keep current on search engine trends, algorithms, and best practices
Contribute SEO knowledge to company initiatives during the product specification and copywriting processes
Use web analytics data to further refine projects
Qualifications:
· Knowledge of industry trends and strategies related to SEO
· Expertise with HTML and CSS
· Must be a team player, but be able to work independently when necessary
· Web analytics knowledge
· SEO Directory experience considered a plus
·
Education and/or Experience:
· Very comfortable with the Internet space
· 1-2 years of Search Engine Optimization experience
· Some SEM/PPC experience a plus
Computer Skills:
· HTML
· CSS
· Omniture SiteCatalyst a plus
RDBMS a plus
