MS Project/Portfolio Server 2007 Admin
Emergint Technologies is seeking a Microsoft Project and Portfolio Server 2007 Administrator with a blend of technical and functional skills with respect to Moss 2007 and WSS 3.0. to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The qualified applicant will become part of Emergint’s Atlanta based Information-Technology team supporting our Centers for Disease Control client.
Position Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering and monitoring the enterprise MS Project environment, as it relates to MOSS 2007 environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for making design decisions on all key components of the MS Project/Portfolio Server 2007 and have a clear understanding of the rationale for the deployment of each component. Typical responsibilities would include:
Develop policies and procedures for the administration of MS Project/Portfolio Server 2007 in MOSS 2007 environment;
Act as a consultant to all MS Project users for application and server issues;
Possess an understanding of project management concepts as related to the MS Project software and be able to advise customers on implementation questions;
Administer MS Project/Portfolio Server 2007 functional configuration and its values;
Perform general system monitoring and verification;
Configure and maintain approved reports and views;
Implement patches, hot fixes, service packs, etc.;
Assist in the scheduling and coordinating of projects and be involved in the design phase;
Work with developers to build SharePoint solutions and Web parts.
Education:
BS or equivalent experience
Experience:
5+ yrs
Specific Skills:
5+ years experience as a MS Project/Portfolio Server administrator in a large enterprise environment;
2+ years experience with MOSS 2007 and MS Project/Portfolio Server 2007.
5+ years experience with MS Project.
2+ years experience MOSS web parts.
2+ years experience integrating Microsoft Project/Portfolio Server with Windows SharePoint Services to maintain project level deliverable documents within SharePoint document library
Ability to work closely with clients to understand requirements and implement the needed solutions.
