We have an immediate need for a PHP Application Server Engineer JOB DESCRIPTION PHP Application Server Engineer The PHP Application Server Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining server-side applications for specific network-aware games and sites. The candidate must have prior experience in these areas, possess the specialized skills for server-based programming languages SQL database integration and have a good understanding of content management systems. Responsibilities - Creating and maintaining server Back End scripts/tools using PHP, SQL and other programming languages. - Integrating Back End tools with network-aware mobile applications. - Working with the production team to manage and customize internal productivity tools (bug tracking, content management, etc.). - Creating other network scripts and tools to assist in product development. - Creating and maintaining technical documentation. Specialized Knowledge/Expertise Requirements - 3 to 5 years of server application development experience, preferably with Linux, experience in developing server applications on Windows is a plus. - Must have a good understanding of content management solutions including commercial and open-source packages - Expertise in server programming technologies like PHP, HTTP, TCP, XHTML, XML, RPC, SQL are essential. Experience in JAVA and PERL is a plus. - Database integration with MYSQL is essential. - 1 to 2 years Network programming experience - Knowledge of working with server setup and configuration is a plus.
