Production Supervisor (#24-te-kath)
Location: San Jose. CA 95131
Pay: $28-30/hr

Successful candidate will not only have what the required skills, but also need to pass a criminal history background check, employment verification, and education verification.
We are looking for a Supervisor for Production. This position is temporary and can go full time. We want to hire someone temporary for now. This person needs to have excellent computer skills, preferably knows SAP, Excel, formulas, etc.and is a good communicator. Team player, knows production inside and out. Is a doer and has good grammar, etc. They should understand productions processes from the beginning to the end. Also, how other areas in production play a key role in making profit, etc. They would report to the Production Manager.
SUMMARY: Responsible for the direction of a group of non-exempt employees engaged in the assembly of electronic and electro/mechanical units and testing of same.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises employees engaged in the assembly of a variety of company products. Assembly activities include mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies, final assembly, accessories and shipping kits.
2. Supervises final test of digital and analog assemblies.
3. Reviews production schedules and assigns employees in accordance with production objectives assuring that material and equipment needs are in accordance with production objectives.
4. Maintains quality and output requirements. Informs cognizant personnel of production problems and coordinates solutions, collaborating with support groups to resolve problems.
5. Develops process sheets and assembly instructions. Selects and purchases tools, fixtures, and supplies required to sustain and expand production processes.
6. Responsible for hiring, terminations and performance review decisions in accordance with company policy and in cooperation with manager and Personnel.
7. Ensures the quality policy is understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels of the organization through an adequate organizational structure to ensure that devices are designed and produced in accordance with the requirements of the Quality System Regulation and ISO 9001.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB. THE JOB DESCRIPTION SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMPLETE LISTING OF ALL MISCELLANEOUS, INCIDENTAL OR OTHER DUTIES WHICH MAY BE ASSIGNED DURING NORMAL OPERATIONS.
TRAINING EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with production planning and management including computerized material planning. Knowledge of electronic and electro/mechanical assembly and test processes, materials and equipment. Requires minimum three years related experience.
