Description:
GENERAL FUNCTION: Oversees the assimilation and development of new Mortgage Loan Originators during their first 3-6 months of employment while managing their own territory. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: * Coach, develop, and support Mortgage Loan Originators during the first -3 - 6 months on the job. * Work with field ASM's to develop sales, support and customer service skills in new originators. * Determine success rate of meeting certain benchmarks and update required team performance reports. * Ensure that loan originators provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers. * Monitor compliance issues, and ensure that all loan originators attend required meetings and are complying with state and federal regulation, as well as policies and procedures set by the bank. * Monitor quality levels of loan originators to insure adherence to standards. * Provide technical support for new Mortgage Loan Originators including laptop and UniFi system support. * Send out product/system updates to sales team. * Attend and participate in all Consumer Lending meetings as required by management. * Actively participate in ongoing efforts to continually improve customer service for both internal and external customers. * Serve as an intermediary for loan issues with processing manager and underwriting manager. * Assist when requested in special functions, sales rallies, etc. * Assist departmental management in identifying possible improvements in systems and procedures. Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS REQUIRED: * College degree or equivalent experience required. * Minimum 5 years management experience. * Minimum 5 years residential 1st mortgage lending experience. * In-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines. * Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting and/or closing procedures. * Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending. * Ability to build upon product knowledge and pass knowledge on to others to broaden team scope of sales abilities and enhance customer experience. * Demonstrated organizational, leadership and teaching skills. * Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills. * Ability to analyze policies, procedures, and guidelines in a way that maximizes productivity but protects the level of risk desired. * Strong written and verbal communications skills. * In-depth sales technique skills. * Strong desire to excel in a competitive environment. * PC proficient in Windows based software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Mortgage origination systems (i.e. UniFi) and automated decisioning tools required.
