Description:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for coordinating inventory and purchasing activities, accounts payable, processing payroll, and assisting as needed in various ad hoc projects.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Accounts Payable include the processing of all accounts payable transactions including bills, and credit card charges ensuring accuracy of each bill and proper classification
2. Handle all payroll information, using ADP services for payroll entry
3. Reconcile and monitor monthly credit card statements and company-wide accounts such as: telephone service, GPS, uniforms and fuel cards.
4. Prepare monthly financial reports for management
5. Responsible for ordering company provided apparel, equipment (cell phones), and fuel cards. Updates on-line databases to ensure accuracy.
6. Develop procedures for branches.
7. Reviews EOIs and enters orders into BF Retail for all branches. Prior to ordering, checks for available inventory at other sites. Transfers inventory. Cancels EOIs in BF Retail and Navision.
8. Responsible for updating staff directory and fleet report.
9. Maintains and monitors information of vehicles, GPS program, mall leases and office equipment - ensuring timely payment of fees and renewal of registration or leases.
10. Assists HR Manager in performing special projects, updating information and filing.
11. Works closely with HR Manager on issues relating to insurance and benefits;
12. Provides guidance to other bookkeepers regarding their duties and train new bookkeepers
13. Responsible for all regional billing including company mailers.
14. Makes all hotel reservations.
15. Filing and perform other duties as needed



QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education: High school diploma or GED with college degree in business preferred.
2. Experience: Two years related work experience required.
3. Knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of general ledger.
4. Ability to review work for accuracy, to accurately perform numerical detail work, to make arithmetical computations, and to prepare financial and accounting records.
5. Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing required.
6. Ability to read and interpret documents.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
