PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Responsible for motivating and leading the Direct Lending’s processing team. Additional responsibilities include process flow development and implementation, state and federal compliance, risk assessment, policy and procedures management.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide leadership within the various processing functions including, but not limited to, process flow management and implementation, state and federal compliance, policy and procedures implementation and pipeline management.
Ensure that departmental areas of responsibilities are efficient, and that the loan files are supported by adequate documentation to ensure the viability of sales of loans into the secondary market.
Implement corporate goals and initiatives as communicated by Direct Lending’s senior management.
Monitor monthly and quarterly production goals to support the center’s business plan.
Manage process flows and procedures consistent with corporate goals, state and federal laws and secondary market investor requirements and monitoring the effectiveness of those flows and procedures.
Resolve customer related problems as they are escalated past the teams.
Work with the Vice President to balance staffing levels and assist in selection of candidates for hire in the center
Manage title, signing and credit vendors to address escalated issues, customer service and turnaround times.
Analyze and suggest system changes to increase efficiency and productivity within the teams.
Coach and counsel the team associates for peak performance.
Prepare accurate and timely performance appraisals.

Title of Immediate Supervisor: Vice President of Operations
Positions Supervised: Processors and team assistants

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A college degree in business or related disciplines is required. A minimum of 5 years experience in first and second mortgage production or comparable financial services are required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a team focus. Knowledge of mortgage products is imperative and an understanding of other types of financial products is desirable. Must be able to effectively manage in a high pressure, rapidly changing environment.
• Must have extensive lending compliance knowledge.
• Must have extensive leadership experience within a team environment setting.
• Must have process re-engineering and planning experience.
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be well organized and detail oriented
• Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities and produce results
• Must have the ability to handle frequent changes
• Must take the initiative and be an innovative problem solver.
