This position requires knowledge of: Unix/Linux, various management software, VMWare and Data storage/management Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.1. Will provide network and systems administration support for new and existing computers, network and communications software.2. Provide architecture, design, implementation, maintenance of web applications and wireless network.3. Coordinate integration activities with other engineers.4. Provide technical support in the installation, configuration, optimization, operation, movement, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of computer and network hardware and related devices, switches, hubs, routers, cabling, wiring, firewalls, and cryptographic equipment.5. Provide technical support for the IAVA program by analyzing and implementing corrective measures to satisfy new IAVA requirement.6. Other duties may be assigned to meet operational/mission needs.Supervision:This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.Minimum Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education and/or Experience:A bachelor's degree (B.S.) in the Information Technology field with 6+ years' designing and implementing networks. A combination of education and experience will be consideredComputer Skills:Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards and strong technical knowledge of networks and PC operating systems.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities• Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows environment, system documentation; system administration/engineering.• Versed in commercial network practices to include wireless.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/AClearance: Active TS/SCIChenega Corporation is an EOE.
