Description:
• Lead cross-functional development teams of highly complex initiatives, coordinating external and internal resources; ability to manage these initiatives with minimal guidance and potential management of less senior project managers assigned to assist in the implementation;
• Assist business leaders in research initiatives, as well as project definition for prioritized initiatives; • Assist in the project prioritization process with key business leaders, tracking overall initiative spend budgets as well as report out of overall project portfolio status;
• Manage projects in accordance with standard project life cycle process;
• Develop and maintain project plans; monitor and communicate progress to all key stakeholders. Identify impediments to success and ensure resolution;
• Hold monthly steering committee meetings with executive and senior management;
• Identify, track and see issues through to resolution, relying on corporate savvy and influencing skills to accomplish;
• Develop and manage project budget, identifying overruns and quantifying overrun expenses;
• Coordinate vendor selection, contract execution and manage vendor relationship through implementation;
• Develop and implement controls to mitigate risk and comply with corporate standards;
• Develop and distribute for completion post mortem project surveys, review lessons learned with project team and apply suggested improvements to future projects;
• Continually assess project management capabilities within the overall Annuities organization, recommending and leading change to process improvement of the project management discipline.
