The Social Media Moderator will ensure content is effectively brand-focused on company consumer- and trade-facing blogs and other online social media channels. The position requires a high-energy, self-directed, deadline-oriented individual who has exceptional communication skills and experience as a moderator. Duties and Responsibilities Moderate, monitor, and support all company blog platforms including Realtor.com® Blogs, Ask a Realtor® Q&A initiative, the commenting function of Move Trends, Facebook, and Twitter.
Support and manage the FTP backend on WordPress for all company-supported relevant blog platforms. Geo code and filter blog posts across the Move Network (PDP). Maintain YouTube company page and assist in video production as needed.
Maintain Realtor.com Facebook page, including status updates, filtering comments and other brand-right outreach initiatives that drive traffic to our network of sites. Daily monitoring of company REALTOR.com and Move.com Twitter accounts and assignment of (trafficking) responses to company spokespersons.
Help increase traffic and engagement on the Move Network by moderating and editing content generated by our online community members and publishing that content where relevant to all company blog platforms.
Support Realtor.com Blogger outreach by gathering content for the Ask A REALTOR Q&A profile posts, coordination of the new monthly newsletter and quarterly bloggers conference call.
Monitor blogs on the internet to determine appropriate forums for Realtor.com comments by communications team and the company’s “Blog About…” program.
Track Web site activity and statistics for blogs and Q&A platform. Provide day-to-day support to the Interactive Media team, such as coordination of social media research projects.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field
Enthusiasm for Real Estate: industry market trends, buying & selling mortgage markets and home valuation tools
Experience in monitoring large blog communities and content networks
Experience in using and managing social media including blogs, social networks, forums, discussion boards and chat rooms
Extensive backend management experience Wordpress
Impeccable communication and organizational skills
Strong sense of urgency, flexibility and the ability to multitask
Strong knowledge of user-generated content
Preferred Skills Marketing experience, knowledge of HTML and XML, experience with Web content management systems and blog software, knowledge of AP style, experience with large associations or other membership groups and work on large Web sites.
