Company Job Title: Human Resources Admin AssistantChenega Job Title: Assistant III, HR Clearance: Background checkLocation: Lorton, VAReports To: HR ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPrepared Date: 10/16/2009Approved Date: 10/16/2009Summary:Provide all aspects of Administrative support and represent CFS and the Human Resources department to customers, vendors and employees by providing a professional and courteous first impression to visitors and callersEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.1. Copies data and compiles records and reports.2. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.3. Updates HR spreadsheet with employee change requests and processes paperwork.4. Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Manager.5. Maintains active and terminated employee files by filing, making folders, labels, etc.6. Maintains accurate records and files with the utmost confidentiality into appropriate employee files.7. Assists with verifications of employment.8. Assist with verification of completeness of data for new hire paperwork.9. Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.10. Provides support with faxing, scanning, and other clerical functions.11. Operates various computer applications to input and retrieve data.12. Opens and routes incoming human resources mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.13. Assist HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects.14. Other duties may be assigned to meet operational needs.Supervision:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Minimum Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.• Operates office machines such as typewriter, adding, calculating, scanning and duplicating machines.• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities. • Ability to maintain organization in a fast paced changing environment..Education and/or Experience:High School Diploma or GED; 1 to 2 years customer service and / or clerical experience.Computer Skills:Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and OutlookCertificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/AClearance: No clearance requirements; but a background check will be required.Chenega Corporation is an EOE.
