Description:
eConsultAmerica is a preferred vendor supplier on retainer with a leader in the global enclosures and thermal management markets, designing and manufacturing thermal management products and standard, modified, and custom enclosures that house and protect sensitive electronics and electrical components. Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Director of Human Resources. This position will be based in Minneapolis, MN. POSITION DETAILS This role is responsible for leading the Human Resources function serving two (2) primary locations and the Specialty OEM business. This leader will drive the planning and execution of all policies, initiatives, and actions that leverage talent within the organization and align performance delivery with the breakthrough needs of the business. Leads “Best in Class” application of key processes involving talent acquisition, people development, performance management, and organizational development/design. Serves as the key advisor to the Market Leaders by proactively aligning people knowledge, skills, and abilities with needs of the business. Brings a breadth of experience resulting from successfully managing customary human resources activities such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services. Proven developer of talent with an inclusive leadership style and capability to influence organizational level change. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and execute people leveraging strategies / plans / actions that align with Specialty OEM business needs; assign targets and metrics designed to measure level of success. • Manage data, review trends, project needs relating to organizational talent, retention requirements, resource availability; develop and implement requisite actions that link data to business needs. • Implement policies and practices that leverage the value of diversity in the workplace; utilize demographic data to drive priorities regarding actions and resources. • Retain ownership and accountability for the human capital aspect of the business; strategize headcount management and people development investments for the Specialty OEM business. • Implement Human Resource functional excellence throughout the site and business; integrate lean thinking and practices into key processes relating to talent acquisition, benefit administration, performance management and organizational learning. • Mentor, counsel, and serve as an integral leader within the Specialty OEM Team; forge a synergistic relationship with the leaders of the business. • Develop the Human Resources Team; maximize the performance of each member and proactively align structure with the ever changing business needs. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related business field required; a masters degree or MBA is preferred. 5 years work experience in leadership roles is required. 8 years work experience in organization(s) with best in class human resources practices. Work experience in world class manufacturing organization or related industry as either a manufacturing site HR Leader or manufacturing site HR Generalist. Proven track record of performance excellence; demonstrated ability to consistently rate above peers is mandatory. Thrives in a “reward for performance” culture; readily accepts challenges associated with a dynamic work environment. Compensation Negotiable
