Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Director of Human Resources. This position will be based in Columbia, MD. . POSITION DETAILS The chosen candidate provides a broad range of human resource services to a large, multi-divisional, complex business in support of business objectives, strategic goals, and human resource initiatives. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Director and to the VP. Responsible for providing high level strategic oversight and HR support to our Space Network and Communication business, encompassing 25+ sites across the US and international locations. Requirements:
Masters degree with a concentration in Human Resources or other related discipline is required. 6 years of directly related experience, or a BS degree in business administration, business management or other HR related discipline with eight (8) years of directly related experience. Masters degree preferred. Experience must cover a wide range of HR functions (i.e. employee relations, staffing, compensation management, affirmative action, organization development, training, change management, employee advocacy and business partnership). Experience must include prior leadership/management roles Experience managing multiple locations including management of HR staff at remote sites Strong bias for action, a keen sense of urgency and the ability to drive results in a highly matrixed organization Ability to build credible business partnerships Must possess strong business acumen Integrative, strategic, action-oriented thought leader Ability and flexibility to persevere and grow in a changing environment Strong written/verbal communication skills and understanding of executive conciseness Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations is required. Successful candidate must also demonstrate core values, foster Six Sigma and Learning initiatives, and create an atmosphere of teamwork and development within the HR team. Compensation 115K – 135K
