Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Vice President of Human Resources. This position will be based in Palo Alto, CA. POSITION DETAILSThe VP of HR is responsible for leading the HR organization. The key responsibilities include driving the delivery of programs and services in the areas of: performance management, reward and recognition, recruitment and succession planning, talent development, health and retirement benefits, employee relations, pay mechanisms and HR policies. This individual will partner with senior leadership to develop and champion a shared vision for addressing client’s leadership and people organizational needs. The position is charged with promoting and implementing effective leadership and employee development at all levels within the company. A key function of the HR team (14 employees) is the recruiting, developing and retaining high potential talent and establishing sustainable succession planning mechanisms. Supported by a team of HR Business Partners the VP of HR is responsible for ensuring people programs and services are in line with company needs and business strategies. The successful candidate will be expected to build a reputation as a trusted advisor to managers and employees able to assist with the resolution of potentially challenging people and organizational issues. Requirements• Deep experience in key HR domains (employee relations, performance management, staffing, compensation, organizational development). • Demonstrated HR leadership experience designing, developing and driving a strategic HR agenda. • Experience in successfully implementing progressive organizational transformation strategies. • Proven change agent with the ability to collaboratively deliver a strategic HR agenda in a complex matrix organizational structure. • Ability to establish positive relationships and work with employees at all organizational levels. • Strong personal interaction skills. • Exceptional business acumenBEST INDUSTRY – Aerospace/DefenseBEST DEPARTMENT – Human Resources

Requirements:
BA/BS or MA in human resources management preferred.Society of Human Resource Management certification preferred.10+ years managing and directing a team of 10 or more.Strong project management skills are essential in this role.Demonstrated HR leadership experience designing, developing and driving a strategic HR agenda is required. 5 years experience in successfully implementing progressive organizational transformation strategies is required.Proven change agent with the ability to collaboratively deliver a strategic HR agenda in a complex matrix organizational structure.
