We are currently seeking candidates for the position of office operations manager for our Denver office. This position plays a key role in managing the day-to-day office support functions for the office. There are approximately 40 employees in the Denver office, providing a full range of service offerings.
The office manager is responsible for overseeing the office support functions of our service oriented, client centered business. This requires partnering with the local office leadership to ensure that client delivery and internal operations objectives are being met. This also requires collaborating with corporate resource units to deliver and implement company policies and programs.
Ultimately the focus of this role is to ensure the day-to-day functional resources effectively support our consultants in the local marketplace, while managing costs and risks to the firm. Successful incumbents have the ability to take initiative, exercise independent thinking, juggle multiple projects, analyze problems, seek assistance and implement appropriate solutions.
Core Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of staff in the office
Implement standard operating procedures and systems in alignment with corporate policies to increase efficiency and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Ensure the operational support structure is capable of handling the local client delivery demands and is staffed with qualified personnel to meet those needs
Communicate corporate and local office policies and procedures to staff and achieve compliance through team communication and leading by example
Manage administrative staff including performance management, training, workflow distribution and quality
Develop and manage operations budgets related to occupancy and overhead
Interface with consulting staff to solve problems and explore opportunities for improvements to increase office performance
Requirements/Qualifications:
5-10 years experience of hands-on operations management in business support functions within a client-focused professional services environment
Understanding of the dynamics and demands of a professional services environment and appreciation of the service needs for consultants and clients
Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage, coach, train and motivate administrative staff at various levels
Communication skills which can effectively facilitate the understanding and implementation of procedural changes as necessary
Recognized ability to grasp new concepts/processes quickly
Excellent organization and project management skills, taking long-term perspective when planning projects to ensure outcomes will have lasting value and meet immediate needs
Proven financial and business analysis skills, including the ability to develop budgets, manage costs, and review financial reports to process and project management issues
Knowledge and experience in facilities management, office services, records management, business continuity, and information technology
Tenacity with solid focus on quality service to clients and attention to details; strong desire to deliver value-added support to external and internal clients
