Description:
The Controller will be responsible for all elements of accounting, financial planning, reporting and analysis for our Akron site and our international offices. S/he will provide support to the CFO and executive management, as well as to other team members, on a broad range of accounting and financial strategic and tactical issues which impact the Company. Some travel will be required.
Essential functions and major activities:
Responsibilities include internal and external consolidated financial planning, reporting and analysis; oversee overall P&L, cost accounting, balance sheet accounting and the preparation of management reporting such as monthly and quarterly financial reports and presentations. Will evaluate, develop and lead improvements in the accounting, financial planning, reporting and analysis processes to ensure compliance with G.A.A.P and an adequate system of internal controls; provide functional leadership in the interpretation and application of technical accounting rules for the site.
Qualifications
Minimum professional and educational background desired:
Requires BS/BA Accounting or Finance. MBA or relevant advanced degree highly preferred.
CPA.
10+ years relevant financial experience. Experience must include a strong focus on financial planning, reporting and analysis in a manufacturing environment along with a demonstrated command of general ledger activities, International experience, Mergers and Acquisition activity, job cost accounting and G.A.A.P.
Additional experience in forecast development and tax background highly desirable.
Must have Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills with expert proficiency in MS Office. ERP implementation experience highly desirable. I return my client offers and excellent compensation package including an industry leading healthcare package.
