Job DescriptionGENERAL DESCRIPTION Coordinates, maintains, orders and ensures that all packaging materials and supplies are available for use in Packaging department. S/he maintains an accurate inventory of materials and supplies, and is responsible for keeping them in stock. Coordinates activities with Packaging Supervisor to ensure packaging kits are pulled in a timely manner to meet daily workload. Also assists in recording incoming 90% WIP as well as transferring finished goods to warehouse. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES Order supplies for packaging department from the warehouse on a weekly basis and put in home locations in a timely manner Pull packaging kits for packaging team daily and adjust inventory counts accordingly Prepare documentation on finished product and prepare finished goods to be transferred to the warehouse using shrink wrap machine Transport packaged and finished goods to proper location using pallet jack Maintain and rotate stock as needed for packaging department using pallet jack and forklift Complete documentation and transfer B grade product to warehouse as needed. Confer with packaging inspectors to verify inspected product is ready to be closed and moved to proper location Flatten and palletize cardboard Ensure safety and housekeeping practices are followed Comply with all Company policies and procedures Care for Company assetsMaintain accurate inventory counts and reconcile as needed Accurately enter information into computer system Perform other duties as required.
