Visual Merchandise Coordinator
At Bob’s Discount Furniture, named 2008 Furniture Retailer of the Year, our Director of Visual Merchandise is looking for dynamic, energetic, highly creative and passionate people to join his growing team in the New York metro area. Visual Merchandise Coordinators will combine their creativity and artistic flair to set up and maintain displays as instructed by the Director of Visual Merchandise. The goal of the Visual Merchandise Coordinator is to maximize the space of our beautifully appointed showrooms while adding to the overall appeal and excitement for our customers, ultimately impacting sales.
The Visual Merchandise Coordinator will be responsible for weekly maintenance of an assigned group of up to 5 showrooms. Extensive travel is required.
Coordinators will also participate in extensive updates at existing showrooms as well as in the exciting process of preparing new stores for their grand openings.

Responsibilities will include:
· Create and execute unique and dynamic room settings within the corporate vision that sets us apart from other major furniture retailers
· Maintain visual consistency throughout each showroom in area of responsibility
· Continually critique and challenge your merchandising approaches to ensure visual excellence
· Effectively communicate with the Director of Visual Merchandising showroom accomplishments, clarifications, concerns and recommendations for improving our merchandising approach as needed
· Develop constructive relationships throughout the stores
· Un-crate, inspect and prepare new merchandise
Requirements:
· Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to travel throughout the northeast
· Strong verbal and communication skills
· Ability to work long hours and weekends when required
· Some course work in consumer psychology, buying behavior and/or visual or Fashion Merchandising is a plus
