POSITION SUMMARY:The Billing Supervisory is responsible for the daily operational management of the billing department, supervision, and training of the billing staff and all patient accounting and related functions. This includes monthly closing, reviewing and researching accounts receivable balances, processing all claims, processing patient accounts for credit and collections and handling correspondence related to patient accounts.QUALIFICATIONS:1. Specific knowledge, training or skills required to perform the duties of this position.2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in healthcare related field.3. Three to five years Supervisory experience.4. In-depth knowledge of medical insurance, Medicaid and Medicare plans.5. Demonstrated experience in medical terminology, CPT and ICD-9 coding.6. Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suites, electronic medical records and database management.
