No third party submittals US citizen or permanent resident only. Local candidates Position Description: Sr UI Developer to join an Agile Focused Test Driven Development Team. Developer will be expected to participate in daily scrum meetings and be accountable for identifying and delivering their tasks to support the defined stories for the sprint. Developer will be working with a suite of applications (both custom and packaged) in a windows based kiosk environment. Responsibilities: Accurately implement a Web based software user interface based on mockups from a designer. Implement reusable UI components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. Write high tolerance AJAX and JavaScript components that gracefully handle error cases originating from the network and ActiveX controls. Write unit tests and fully test code before submitting to QA. Write complete and clear documentation. Participate in 2 week sprint cycles by writing stories in preparation for sprint, participating in meetings and completing work for sprint Day to day development work and updating of tasks Responsible for assisting in breaking down task work and estimating hours for tasks Technical Analysis and Design as needed to present approach to solving problems within stories. Might include visio diagrams, word documents or models as needed. Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Expert level understanding of JavaScript and AJAX. Expert level understanding of HTML and CSS, specifically in an IE6 environment. Good understanding of PHP or other server-side Scripting language, including a unit testing framework such as PHPUnit. Good understanding of jQuery, prototype or equivalent JavaScript library and how to write unit tests in JavaScript. Good understanding of integrating JavaScript with ActiveX components. Be able to take Photoshop mockups and disassemble them into images needed to implement the UI. Ability to work in a changing, evolving environment and contribute to solving problems. Experience with SVN or other like source code revision control systems, such as, CVS Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Experience working in a mature Agile Based environment
