Catholic Charities Health and Human ServicesCAREER OPPORTUNITYTITLE: 7j-09 Teacher (Full-time, Full-day, 10-month position)SALARY RANGE: Min. $12.14 - Mdpt. $14.33 (Commensurate with Experience)GRADE: NGSITE: Catholic Charities Community Services - Cuyahoga County - Head Start/St PhillipBasic Function:Under direct supervision, carry out the day-to-day classroom activities and operations to enhance the children's development to best prepare them for future educational experience(s).Responsibilities:  * Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities Health and Human Services and Catholic Charities Services Corporation.  * Ensure that the classroom is setup with defined learning areas and provides a safe, healthy classroom environment that is arranged to support independence.  * Adhere to all state and local licensing requirements and comply with meeting the Head Start Performance Standards.  * Supervise children at all times and maintain child/staff ratios in accordance to state and federal requirements.  * Establish and follow a consistent daily routine that meets the needs of all children.  * Maintain a safe classroom environment, which includes monthly fire drills and quarterly disaster drills.  * Complete child Center Staffing Process on all children within the first 45 days of entrance into the program and make appropriate referrals.  * Write lesson plans that align the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards with the Curriculum and Performance Standards and are individualized for each child.  * Record communications with parent(s) in Family Contact Sheet.  * Record ongoing observation of children, write anecdotal notes and enter notes on Galileo computer system.  * Work with the Teacher Assistant to complete developmental LAP-D Screenings on all children within 45 days of entry into the program.  * Conduct two (2) home visits annually, one within forty-five (45) days of enrollment, and conduct two (2) parent-teacher conferences for each child.  * Complete ongoing assessment of all children including those with special needs.  * Plan transition activities to facilitate moving children from one activity to the next.  * Conduct transition activities with the local school districts for children entering kindergarten throughout the year and complete annual transition packets.  * Encourage good daily hygiene and model good eating habits and tooth brushing.  * Sit, eat with and socialize with the children throughout daily routine including meal and snack times.  * Greet children and families at the door at arrival and depart ...
