Job Summary: Under the direction of the Manager of Patient Financial Services, performs analysis and development of departmental processes. Plans and supports existing processes as well as new initiatives, with responsibility for recommending changes in approaches and reporting. Performs a variety of business development, economic evaluation and planning functions as well as overseeing operational compliance with these functions requiring innovative problem solving and considerable initiative to support the department operations, planning and productivity in the department. May supervise and assist with the development of departmental staff. Qualifications : Required : Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health-focused major. Two years of progressive financial analytical experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Demonstrated high level of proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word with working knowledge of MS Access and/or statistical software packages. Strong analytical, critical thinking, forecasting, communication skills (verbal and written). Preferred : Beginners to intermediate knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle. Financial analytical experience in a healthcare environment. Demonstrated ability to manipulate and analyze data derived from disparate source systems Experience with Siemens and EPIC billing systems.
