Description:
Senior Producer, Integrated Sales - North Hollywood, CA
The Disney Interactive Media Group (DIMG) is responsible for global creation and delivery of Disney-branded entertainment and lifestyle content across all interactive media platforms including PCs, mobile phones and video game consoles. The division operates two content creation units, Disney Interactive Studios and Disney Online, which work together to take advantage of platform-specific expertise to create a line of connected, multi-platform entertainment experiences. Disney Interactive Studios self publishes and distributes a broad portfolio of video games and interactive entertainment for handheld, mobile and console platforms globally. Disney Online produces the No. 1 kids entertainment and family community Web site, Disney.com as well as the Disney Family Network, Disney mobile entertainment and an industry leading suite of online virtual worlds for kids and families. DIMG also provides interactive technology strategy, solutions and execution for The Walt Disney Company.
Position Summary
The Disney Online Mom and Family Portfolio is a collection of sites dedicated to inspiring and helping parents in their everyday lives with kids. With the recent expansion of the portfolio has come a dramatic increase in sales activity and opportunity with advertisers. The volume of requests from advertisers is at an all-time high, along with expectations for ad revenue. Most significantly, the nature of advertiser demands has grown in complexity. The most promising advertiser partnerships require an unprecedented degree of integration with our product. The Senior Producer, Integrated Sales, is a new role, situated on the product team, where he or she will lead the effort to create and oversee integrated sales projects that marry advertiser needs with product goals.
Specifically, the Senior Producer will partner with other leads on the Editorial/Product team to get a deep understanding of their respective product goals and roadmaps in the mom/parenting space. He or she will work with the product teams to develop a calendar of both product-driven enhancements as well as “if sold” projects in various categories, such as video, UGC photo/video, mobile, and social media that can be shared with sales.
The Senior Producer will represent the voice of the product team in dealing with sales. He or she will work closely with the Senior Manager of Sales Development and Production, a key liaison with the sales team, but also participate in sales development brainstorm sessions with the sales team directly. Strengthening our partnership with the sales team will be an important goal for this person.
In addition to pre-sale strategy and development, the Senior Producer will also have responsibility for some post-sale execution of projects, especially that work which falls outside the scope of the site producer teams. He or she will oversee a team of 3 people, the lead multimedia producer, a producer, and associate producer.
The Senior Producer will also be expected to partner with the marketing team to ensure that product/sales projects co-exist with and complement marketing initiatives that team has planned for the year.
Finally, the Senior Producer must bridge the gap between concept/ideation and feasibility with our product development process. The Senior Producer will be expected to manage an ad sales-dedicated scrum, and work with the Tech/Project Mgt team to manage all ongoing sales-driven efforts, both those in production and those purely in exploration.
