Paralegal
Our client, a national, multi-practice law firm is seeking a paralegal experienced in patent/trademark law for their Chicago loop office.
Responsibilities:
Provides effective litigation support in all phases of the litigation process under the supervision of an attorney.
Performs research
Prepares and reviews information pertaining to court cases and legal issues.
Reviews documents, performs research and writes motions and pleadings.
Maintains complete, thorough, accurate and current records in an organized fashion in accordance with legal standards, rules and ethics.
Aids attorney with discovery and trial preparation.
Conducts interviews with clients and witnesses when needed.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
5+ years experience as a paralegal with at least 3 years in patent/trademark law
Ability to balance priorities under tight time constraints
Must be proactive and able to work effectively both independently and as a team member with a variety of professional styles.
Expert level knowledge of MSWord
Proficient in Excel and Outlook
Bachelors Degree and Paralegal certification
