Description:
This position is responsible for supervising, directing, and overseeing warehousing and receiving activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of labor, materials, and assets. The Materials Coach is responsible for developing and directing the warehouse and receiving teams to achieve departmental and organizational goals, specifically the warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Position Responsibilities:
Deliver line performance by meeting company objectives including the financial plan for the assigned area of responsibility
Drive results within the Receiving/Shipping Budget (i.e. labor, supplies, outside storage, and material damages) to achieve operational goals
Ensure that procedures, policies, processes and SOP’s are in place and followed at all times
Ensure your lines are fully staffed and properly trained
Facilitate team meetings
Supervises and motivates a shift of approximately 35 warehouse and shipping team members
Ensure expectations are clear, concise and that personnel are held accountable
Lead and teach route cause analysis process
Ensure our 3 Givens < Safety- Quality – Grooves> are understood by your direct reports and all team members
Ensure that continuous improvement goals are targeted through daily operations as well as capital planning
Develop your front-liners both in technical and interpersonal skills to meet present and future needs
Maintain good employee relations and communicate relevant issues in a timely manner

Required Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum of 3 years related work experience required, 5 years of related work experience preferred
Minimum 1 year experience in a Continuous Improvement Environment (Lean Manufacturing or TPM preferred)
Minimum of 3 years experience of supervisory/management level preferably in a distribution, fulfillment and/or large manufacturing environment (Frozen Food Desired)
Experience in Food, Dairy and Consumer Products preferred
Ability to set and manage guidelines for SOP’s for Customer Delight, Safety, Quality and Sanitation Teams
Must be willing to work all Shifts
