Link Technologies is currently looking for an RM COBOL Application Developer for a part-time position on a project in Las Vegas, NV. Please apply immediately if you are looking for a great project! This is a part-time contract position for approximately 32 hours per month, for up to 1 year. Duties: Gathers and analyzes information regarding system and requirements, develops and/or modifies Ryan McFarland COBOL written programs to fulfill these needs. Responsibilities include the following: Demonstrates professional organization, documentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Plans and develops test data to validate new or modified programs; designs input and output forms and documents. Troubleshoots software problems as needed, for customers, other agencies and information systems personnel. Test and evaluates alternative solutions and recommend and implement appropriate applications design. Maintains and communicate accurate status of work performed. Interviews functional and technical staff to gather documentation required for analysis of current system architecture and application requirements. Writes program documentation, customer procedures and instructions. Experience in working with multiple tables. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the team s service by offering suggestions or direction as a member of the team. Required Skills Knowledge of Ryan McFarland COBOL Version 5.0 or greater required. Experience in systems analysis, design, programming required. Experience in the design and construction of client/server applications required. Knowledge of operation of personal computers, standard office software, and design and development tools required. Knowledge of basic accounting, statistical, business administration and office procedures required. Desired Skills: Knowledge of automated Public Guardian and Public Administration business processes and case management systems desirable.
