We will relocate you to the beautiful Orlando, FL area! Are you a well-rounded Field Engineer with a strong background with electro-hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical systems? Do have 10+ years of field engineering experience with fabrication, welding, assembly, installation, testing and maintenance?If so, please keep reading! Located in the Baltimore, MD area, we are an advanced applied technology engineering firm focused on providing advanced engineering services to clients worldwide. We are currently looking for a field engineer who is an expert on electrical control systems to work on projects within our entertainment division. This includes but is not limited to projects on entertainment rides, show action equipment, control systems, show doors and custom animation systems for amusement parks! Experience with amusement parks is ideal but we will also consider someone with related experience. What do you need to qualify? 10+ years experience in field operations including welding, fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing of advanced electro-hydraulic mechanical systems. 2+ years in the direct supervision of field operations including manufacturing, operations personnel, and subcontractors. 2+ years experience in the supervision and assembly of complex assembly line control systems including testing and troubleshooting. Thorough knowledge of ANSI drawing practices for mechanical drafting and working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical schematics. Preparation of progress reports, job completion estimates, and cost estimating essential. One-off experience is a huge plus! Experience directly related Amusement Park equipment or rides is a huge plus! MUST be a US Citizen Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of: ANSI Y14.5 AutoCAD SolidWorks AWS D1.1,2What will you be doing? The field engineer will go to some parts of Europe, the Middle East and Asia. 25%-30% Travel. Travel is for long periods at a time. (1-5 months, not continuous)There is no traveling during the 4-month contract period. Act on Integrated Product Teams as manufacturing/engineering liaison for design-to-production contracts. Provide on-site support and act as our representative to customer. Interface with all phases of manufacturing; ensure input at an early stage for appropriate system design. Provide resolution to manufacturing problems. Troubleshoot and repair electro-hydraulic systems. Perform a variety of fundamental field engineering tasks under general supervision of a senior level engineer; involved in the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems.
