Quality Assurance Engineer - freelance
QA Engineer defines, develops, and implements test initiatives that will improve the product validation process in terms of efficiency, coverage, and usability. As part of the QA team, you will:
Analyze the product requirements and determine the test criteria to valid the product applications and verify the design and implementation.
Work effectively with engineering, creative and project/account management staff and other team members to identify testing needs, develop an executable test plan and identify the HW/SW resources needed for the plan. Develop the test cases that test functional, performance, browser, db and security of a given application; set pass/fail criteria for each test cases. Executed the test plan, assess the test results, and write test report and maintain the Bug life cycle process effectively.
The QA Engineer will be responsible for the following deliverables:
* Test Plans
* Test Cases and scripts
* Test Case Implementation, provide results that attest product quality.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a QA Tester.
Solid experience analyzing requirements and writing test cases and test plans.
Well versed with testing database driven Web Applications, Desktop based Applications, Widgets etc
SQL database skills (writing queries, interpreting results)
Experience testing applications build with various technologies. (Java, .Net, Flash etc)
Some experience/knowledge testing CRM based applications (emails, user management).
Any kiosk, touch screen based application testing will be a plus.
Work with QA Team to coordinate and conduct all facets of testing including planning, execution and reporting as it relates to black box, end to end, integration, regression, performance, user acceptance testing.
Experience testing Web applications under multiple OS/Browser combos; know the use of Virtual Machine SW is a plus.
Excellent usability testing background, tester will be expected to implement real world scenario cases.
Should be familiar with test-driven development and or Agile testing methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Learn and understand all related system applications thoroughly.
