Description:
The position is responsible for the relationship with the 35 unaffiliated fund companies (~400 funds) that have been distributed by the Variable Annuity business and the Variable Life business. This includes hiring and firing firms, business negotiations, oversight of quantitative and qualitative performance measures, and strategic planning. The position is also responsible for constructing, monitoring and assessing operational processes and prioritizing projects. Lastly, the individual must be able to identify risks and implement processes to handle similar situations. This position is the central location for the expertise on unaffiliated fund company distribution. The person is responsible for oversight of these funds across both the annuities and indvidual life businesses. They are responsible for strategic planning as it relates to the funds and must be able set work unit objectives and priorities without a need for much direction.
