Advance your Sales Management career at Liberty Mutual - A Fortune 100 Company!    The Agency Specialist is responsible for profitable growth and new business production goals within assigned shared territory of agents, by developing and delivering agent-specific value solutions.  Positions and creates demand for product and services through effective marketing programs highly responsive agency service, results analysis, engagement and retention plans enabling the company to reach its financial targets.  Participates as a partner of a highly-effective Sales team in support of and partnership with Territory Managers and regional company leaders.    Responsibilities include: Develops and maintains an agency plant capable of producing profitable premium volume sufficient to meet territory annual assigned goals.  Through the use of Agency Analysis, evaluates agencies and initiates action plans to identify and capitalize upon production opportunities and improve results within their assigned territory.
Achieves Written Premium and Loss Ratio results for specific territories throughout the company.
Continually monitors key competitors within their assigned territory.  Collects, analyzes and reports information pertaining to any changes in competitor activities that will impact the company's position in the territory.  Suggests possible actions to mitigate the impact and improve the company's position in the marketplace.
Trains, motivates and assists agency personnel in implementing company-marketing programs to increase productivity and improve bottom line results.
Develops a team relationship with Inside Sales, Licensing & Contracting, Product Management, Finance, Underwriting & Claims.  Provides reports to Regional Sales Manager/Product Manager as directed.  Maintains a satisfactory standard of expense control.
Maintains and utilizes RAMP and other agency management tools to develop tactical agency plans and manage assigned territory, in order to generate expected territory results.
Masters working knowledge of all company operations, including but not limited to:  Underwriting guidelines, procedures and service standards, policy and coverages, payment processing procedures, Commission Statements, SNAP, Company Rating Software, Claims procedures and service standards, all PC based Sales Tools.
Grow new Agency Market Business Insurance sales through independent agents in the assigned territory.
Develop and maintain excellent rapport and relationships with agency staff and internal contacts all via the telephone.
Partner with Sales manager and Outside Territory Managers to create strategies toward achieving sales objectives.
Monitor assigned agency results, establish proactive outbound call plan and respond to inbound calls from agents.
Prepare for agency calls by analyzing agency specific data with follow up on a regular agency call report and provide analysis and assessment of sales results for assigned group of agents.
Performs other duties as assigned.
