Job Description
. Expertise in one or more UNIX distributions, competent in all active UNIX distributions.
. Can implement changes to medium to high level environments.
. Understanding of standard monitoring tools such as Wily, BMC Patrol and ActiveWatch.
. Take technical lead role with Installing and configuring new application environments including WebSphere, MQ, Apache, Tomcat, BigIP, and others.
. Able to code Borne/Korn shell and PERL scripting.
. Maintain existing application environments and is the escalation point for Service Support to support mission critical services (position has on-call responsibilities).
. Work with internal development groups and vendors to define application release procedures and common issue resolution.
. Define, implement and audit infrastructure best practices and document service monitors.
. Able to write documents that are understandable by both teams and business partners.
. Interact with network services, systems engineering services, vendors and applications development to restore service and/or help identify and correct complex problems
. Willing to do application Support
