Humana's Finance Learning Academy Overview:

Humana's Finance Learning Academy is designed to provide Humana with exceptional and diverse high-potential finance talent and future finance leaders. The Finance Learning Academy is comprised of an in-depth sales specific curriculum, real-life learning experiences, and finance assimilation.

Assignment Capsule:

The first component of the 2010 Finance Learning Academy is a 12 week Structured Learning Experience held at our corporate headquarters in Louisville, KY. The Structured Learning Experience is comprised of facilitated classroom learning, computer based training, project work, participant presentations, self-directed learning, shadowing, networking, and real life application. The curriculum includes Commercial Sales Onboarding, Negotiating Success, community service, command skills, team building, presentation skills, and market visits.

Upon successful completion of the corporate Structured Learning Experience, the Finance Learning Academy associates will begin an intensive six month Finance Assimilation Program in order to prepare them for a successful launch into a career in Finance. During the six month Finance Assimilation Program, candidates will complete rotations in Corporate/Market Finance, Underwriting, National Network Operations, Product, and Clinical / Pharmacy. During the rotations, the Finance Learning Academy associates will have many opportunities to apply their learnings from the Structured Learning Experience in "real life", strengthen their understanding and appreciation of various organizations and departments while performing some of the role functions, network with various corporate and market teams, and continue to "connect the dots" in their own comprehension of how Humana's Guidance Solution works.

During the Assimilation Program, the candidates will receive their market assignments. Market assignments are based on market need, growth opportunities, coaching climate, and fit. All Finance Learning Academy candidates must be open to assignment and relocation to any of our market locations in the United States. A relocation package is provided. Finance Learning Academy associates will transition to their market finance roles in the Spring of 2011, upon successful completion of the Finance Assimilation Program.

2-5 yrs demonstrated success during Internships and Work experience in Accounting, Finance and or Sales roles.
