We are making great progress toward inventing a new future for 3M - a future of faster growth and increased competitiveness, while continuing to deliver superior results.    3M ESPE is the premier supplier of dental products to dental professionals utilizing the latest technologies in composites, mechanical forming, CAD/CAM and various other technologies.  The 3M ESPE Irvine plant is a global supplier of these dental materials.     We do have a Supply Chain Planning opportunity within 3M ESPE's Restorative Supply Chain team.    Candidate will provide supply chain leadership for multiple product lines.  Individual will be a key member of Supply Chain team working to deliver continuous improvement in service, turns and manufacturing costs.    Manages supply chain product flows from procurement through distribution in order to support customer requirements. Schedules procurement as well as manufacturing work centers and works with global logistics team for a specified group of Restorative products.  Analyzes material flow parameters such as order quantities, lot sizes, make cycle frequency, replenishment intervals and sets these levels to support business requirements.   Determines raw material, semi-finished and finished goods inventory buffer quantities and actively manages these to optimize business investments.  Continuously works to improve the planning and scheduling process. Identifies and implements ways to improve customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain efficiency to achieve measurable results.   As an experienced professional, the employee applies analytical, statistical, and planning skills to interpret various sources of data to manage and improve the supply chain performance. Applies expertise in supply chain management concepts and strategies, such as Lean Manufacturing, constraint management and materials requirements planning.  Demonstrates computer and database literacy, and possesses a working knowledge of applicable software and plant systems, including integrated planning tools.   Leadership, strategic planning, and facilitation skills are preferred or are generally part of the employee development plan.  Implements changes that directly impact resource utilization speed, and costs in their supply chain area. Errors would result in waste, delay, or damage with a major impact on supply chain operations, schedules, or customer service.
