Description:
My client is a large, privately held company in Southern California that is undergoing considerable growth. As such, a newly created General Counsel position is now open for someone with solid experience in this role.
This job provides relocation assistance.
Requirements:
Here are the job requirements:
-10+ years experience in a GC role (as opposed to Deputy GC or Associate GC), no exceptions;
-Solid credentials including top law school/grades and law firm experience;
-Active Bar
-Broad, comprehensive executive legal department management experience over all major areas (corporate, commercial transactions, employment/HR, M&A/finance, compliance, etc.).
-Financial services industry experience strongly preferred;
-Stable job history;
-Ability to establish and institutionalize the GC role and function.
