Senior Buyer
Seeking a Buyer from a Department of Defense (DoD) background with experience supporting US Military Facilities Maintenance, Service, Construction, and/or Contingency Projects. Experience supporting OCONUS projects is desirable.
Strong knowledge of FAR is a must.
Recent and Senior Level Procurement experience is required.
Serious candidates must submit to a Credit and Criminal Background Investigation. Only candidates with a clean credit history and background will be considered.

JOB SUMMARY:
Purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies working with plans developed with the project team. Contact vendors and transportation companies, to ensure that materials, supplies, and equipment are shipped and delivered on promised dates. Determine when deliveries may be delayed; coordinates with purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, and other users to expedite material requirements; maintains records and follow-up files of purchases, shipments, returns of damaged items, and related matters.
KNOWLEDGE:
Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts, and principles. Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
MIN EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
5 years with BA.
3 years with MBA.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Does not supervise. May provide technical direction to an assigned work group.
