Who are we looking for?
As a Business Unit Director for Gartner Studios you will seek out new accounts and effectively communicate Gartner’s advantages in order to convert prospects into valuable customers. Build & maintain relationships with assigned accounts by developing new opportunities and responding to critical service issues. Coordinate sales efforts through Mfr’s Reps by establishing sales objectives, training, and monitoring their progress.
As part of an entrepreneurial, growing company, the responsibilities are wide-ranging and require a quick wit, a great attitude and the ability to shift gears on the fly.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new accounts for Gartner Studios, Inc. utilizing the established sales development process.
Develop new channels of distribution.
Manage Mfr’s Reps in assigned territories and/or at assigned accounts. This is includes recommendation for hiring, termination and training plans.
Travel with Reps in assigned territories to make sales calls.
Provide Reps with sales trends, price changes, new product training, sales strategies, competitive information, and overall support to the sales groups.
Represent and participate in trade shows to promote and sell company products.
Working with the VP of Sales, develop yearly sales plans and goals for assigned accounts and territories or distribution channels of responsibility.
Develop forecasts for seasonal merchandise programs, new product or program launches utilizing and coordinating with Business Analysts as necessary.
Communicate with Marketing/Product Development on competitive analysis, sales trends, etc.
Work closely with AM and other departments to process customer special requests (pre-tickets, displays, racks, custom sell sheets, item #’s, etc.)
