Description:
Experience: Familiarity with joint, DoD, combatant command operations and requirements. Experience with detainee affairs, detention operations, military police activities, or intelligence domains helpful.
Duties: Primary duties consist of: develops, submits, and tracks Global Force Management requirements for JTF-GTMO; liaison with U.S. Army FORSCOM, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, USJFCOM, and others to ensure all forces deployed to the theater in support of detainee operations are trained and equipped appropriately; coordinates, tracks, and responds to all congressional, MAJCOM, and JCS taskers and inquiries; plans and directs single or multiple-country Detainee Movement Operations; coordinates search of command records in response to the Office of Military Commissions Prudential Search Requests. Position is the primary AO for all detainee related ops in the AOR. Position is the primary representative from SC to the annual world-wide detainee affairs conference and the detainee movement operations conference. Position will be required to make periodic trips to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to conduct oversight of detention operations at JTF-GTMO.
TS/SCI clearance required.
