Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Director of Marketing. This position will be based in Arlington, VA. Our client is offering a full relocation package. POSITION DETAILSThe chosen candidate will assist the VP – Washington Office in implementing government relations strategies in the DC region. Support the VP – Business Development and the BD/Programs leads in preparation of the overall strategic business development plan. Manage departmental resources and promote intra and interdepartmental cooperation in a highly competitive environment.RESPONSOBILITIES40% Direct business development and marketing operations in the Washington, DC region for a diverse national security portfolio of missile defense and tactical/strategic propulsion systems for the purpose of identifying future business opportunities and sustaining current contacts. 30% Develop and execute marketing strategies and capture plans and assess competitor capabilities. 15% Represent the organization at technical conferences, trade shows, and other marketing venues that may promote the company expertise and capabilities. Participate in related activities with industrial and professional organizations such as AIAA, AIA, and NDIA. 10% Advise on industry trends, market studies and economic conditions related to product development and research to support business development objectives. 5% Conduct briefings for senior management and customer representatives.BEST INDUSTRY – Aerospace/DefenseBEST DEPARTMENT – Marketing

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree is required. MBA and/or engineering disciplines desirable but not required.14 years directly related experience in an appropriate discipline/science or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent oral and written communications skills are important. Working knowledge of government planning, Department of Defense organization, programs requirements and budgeting process highly desirable, as well as similar knowledge of the congressional interface with that process. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).CompensationNegotiable
