Description:
DESCRIPTION The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. The candidate will oversee all aspects of projects, set deadline, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. He/she will prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. The successful candidate must quickly develop a broad understanding of various initiatives, its leadership, needs, gaps, and priorities in order to contribute to a life-cycle analysis of these systems and create business cases, road maps, dashboards, and scorecards. The position involves constant interaction with the user group and the vendor base, and a thorough understanding of the application infrastructure and landscape The selected candidate will perform the following activities: Write technology justification Business Cases and formulate the portfolio road map Participate in the creation, analysis, and communication of corporate information technology (IT) strategic plans and investment strategies Identify and augment the business value proposition and alignment of the IT plan Develop Application Performance Standards based on best practices Develop Enterprise Standards and enforcing those standards for items such as: application upgrade frequency, equipment age and support implications Conduct gap analysis and value-stream mapping, establish and assess compliance to standards Collaborate with stakeholders to implement risk mitigation and remediation plans for compliance Utilize ITIL best practices for assessing the application and technology landscape and suggest life cycle initiatives Understand the infrastructure as well as application environment Create templates for application specific data gathering from vendors and collect such data on a periodic basis to populate the existing Application Portfolio Management tool Coordinate with stakeholders to evaluate, select, and implement a new APM tool Refine existing processes for continuous improvement Maintain positive relations with all stakeholders Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering field, IT-related field, or business administration Possess a good working knowledge of the principles of portfolio management, enterprise architecture, infrastructure design, systems engineering, and strategic planning process Proven ability to dig into data inconsistency and research new data sources Reasonable understanding of various financial systems used in a large corporate setup Accurate and detail oriented, but must be able to see the ?bigger? picture Strong analytical and problem solving skills Effective communication Knowledge of ITIL concepts and processes; understanding of infrastructure landscape across the entire spectrum Experience with software development life cycles, ERP implementations, infrastructure roll-outs, security issues, and application release management Expert in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio,br> Working knowledge of various reporting tools, middleware, and databases MBA Preferred May require a bachelor's degree and at least 6 - 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area SKILLS Data Integration, ERP, Finance, Logistics, MS Project Server, PMP, PMP Certified, Special Projects, Technical, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio, Synectics offers competitive salaries and a full suite of benefits.
