Tax – International Expatriate Service Senior Associate
Position Summary:
The Tax International Expatriate Service Senior Associate is responsible for the delivery of a full range of expatriate services for multiple clients within our International Accounting Firm. Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients to provide innovative expatriate tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; providing review of individual income tax returns; developing and managing staff; and working closely with partners, managers, and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare or review US individual income tax returns for inbound and outbound international assignees.
· Prepare or review international assignment cost projection calculations, as required.
· Participate in arrival and departure tax meetings for expatriates and inpatriates.
· Research and consult on various tax matters.
· Prepare client correspondence on various individual tax issues.
· Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
· Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development, as appropriate.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or business related field.
· Candidate should be familiar with the individual income tax issues and tax law including foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance, and the tax equalization process.
· Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
· Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Licensed CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent designation preferred.
· Experience with a Big 4 firm preferred
· Three or more years of progressive tax consulting experience, preferably with at least two years focused on international expatriate taxation. preferred.
Additional Information:
