Description:
•Ability to work independently and to anticipate DNDO IT requirements. Can offer suggestions on how to address those requirements •Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. •Three years minimum IT Operations or IT-related customer service experience. •Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. •Ability to efficiently and courteously multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests. •Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 15 lbs for short distances and to crawl or kneel on floor or under tables and desks to hook up cables and electrical cords •Experience managing information technology operations •Experience in trouble-shooting hardware and software issues. •Experience providing excellent customer service. •Some experience or familiarity with COMSEC equipment monitoring and deployment helpful but not necessary. •Top Secret (TS) clearance is desired, but not required. Secret Clearance Required
•Coordinate IT Operations of the DNDO CIO’s office to facilitate the execution of DNDO’s mission •Manage a list of issues and actions associated with IT Operations, and champion the resolution of those issues. •Assist the Chief of IT Operations, and CIO at DNDO with oversight of functions associated with the operations of IT at DNDO •Perform inventory management, identify equipment for reorder, receive equipment shipments, distribute new equipment, and maintain associated documentation and spreadsheets. •Proactively identify opportunities to improve IT infrastructure at DNDO in order to avoid breakdowns and impact to the DNDO mission. •Manage activities to implement new technology in the DNDO infrastructure. •Develop, document, and implement standard processes for IT Operations and DNDO •Identify opportunities to improve customer relationships at DNDO. •Provide liaison support assistance to DHS HQ IT Services and as directed by DNDO / OCIO •Prepare conference rooms by set-up of IT, audio visual (AV), and communications security equipment, and seating.  Ensure equipment is fully operational to meet customers’ needs. •Assist with operation of IT, and AV, equipment during meetings. •Assist with move and set-up of computer, phone, or AV equipment at workstations. •Prepare miscellaneous hardware and software supply requests (e.g., toner, blackberry accessories, computer monitors, software).  Request budgetary estimates from suppliers. •Prepare and assist other DNDO performers in preparing privileged access requests, exception and waiver requests, documentation related to electronic and information technology accessibility (Section 508), and technology insertion packages associated with IT hardware and software implementation within DNDO. •Prepare periodic IT reports on inventory, cost estimates, and expenditures.
