The Systems Developer will function in a project lead capacity and will have 6-8 years of development experience preferrably in a Legal environment. This candidate will be responsible for full life cycle systems development including; application development, integration, implementation, and systems support for desktop and practice specific applications (LexisNexis, Abacuslaw, Perfect Practice for example).

Working with department leaders, this candidate will architect, develop, implement, and maintain third party and custom desktop, practice specific, and department software applications and provide technical leadership for projects of medium to large scope. The candidate will maintain relationships with practice representatives and department leaders in order to understand practice and department requirements and how lawyers and staff use various applications. He or she will lead aspects of requirements gathering, system design and analysis, third party application review and product selection, and product implementation efforts. The individual will develop custom applications and will integrate third party applications in the environment. He or she will oversee unit/performance/QA testing, implementation and distribution of software updates, and will work with various parties, including vendors and Firm and office TSS in this role. Responsible for providing third level functional and technical support to lawyers and staff on various desktop, practice specific, and department applications.

Requirements:
Requirements: 6 - 8 years of Application Development experience preferrably in a Legal environment.

Experience with third party and custom desktop, practice specific, and department software applications is a must.
Project Leadership experience is also required along with strong communication skills.
