This position is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments. Plans and develops architectural projects concerning unique projects. Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope. Responsible for architectural designs involving building construction, facility renovation, and rehabilitation of structures. Responsibilities include; architectural design, construction specifications, scheduling, construction supervision and coordination. Project focus is on high profile, projects for hospitality, showrooms, office, and residential design. Maintains liaison with individuals and units in or outside firm with responsibility for technical matters pertaining to individual's field in cooperation with other members of Facilities Engineering, or outside consultants as necessary. Assure compliance with regulations, Kohler Company standards and customer defined project goals and objectives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES
Project Design
Assist in the development and origination of design concepts, code compliance, conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates.
Establish a project team incorporating all associated aspects and areas of responsibilities required.
Project Development
Develop preliminary design concepts through drawings, specifications, renderings and models.
Investigate alternatives and perform value engineering throughout design process.
Set up auditing and accounting procedures to aid in the processing of invoices associated with a particular aspect of a project.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking a candidate with 10-20 years experience who is capable of conceptualizing architectural projects in a wide range of styles for Hospitality and Residential uses. Strong communication skills, graphic skills and knowledge of a variety of building types are required.
We require a 5 years Bachelor or a Masters Degree in Architecture from an accredited US University. Candidates shall either posses an architectural license or be IDP tracked.
