Loan Auditor Job Description:
Will work from HOME! Must be able to work Autonomously.

Essential Responsibilities
. Conduct mortgage loan audits according to the guidelines/timelines established by COMPANY and its clients.
. Perform audits on all fraud or misrepresentation identified in origination QC audits, EPD audits, Investor Repurchase Demands, and Investor mandated audits.
. Re-underwrite EPD and fraudulent loans to determine origination underwriting deficiencies against original Investor or MI guidelines.
. Identify all avenues of recourse options available including, but not limited to, title claims, Fidelity insurance and legal action.
. Enter all necessary data into the findings database, so that findings may be pursued, continuous analysis may be performed and client reports delivered.
. Maintain quality control and volume standards.
. Perform other related duties or projects as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
. 5+ years of experience with large financial institutions, with specific emphasis on fraud audits and investigations.
. Direct experience with loans on single family, 2-4 family, condominium, cooperative, land trusts, leasehold and factory-built properties.
. 5+ years underwriting experience with investor and agency programs and products (conventional and government preferred).
. 5+ years experience with traditional and AU system (DU/LP) underwriting standards.
. Knowledge of federal and state compliance requirements related to loan originations.
. Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency working with imaged loan files.
. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and familiar with LexisNexis, AVMs and other fraud online research tools.
. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
. Strong organizational, analytical and research skills, attention to detail, ability to work under time constraints, good interpersonal skills and a high degree of initiative.
. Must be able to support department objectives with minimal supervision.
. Ability to adapt to change.
. Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university preferred.

Terms
. $50-80 per file DOE, Independent Contractor status.
. You must have a home office set-up that meets all requirements established by COMPANY. (Home office must have: Computer w/ at least 3 GB because image loan files are large; 2 monitors)
You may also be directed to work at COMPANYs offices and/or on site with clients.
. Must pass all pre-employment application requirements, including background checks and references.
